Dr. Alejandro and Dr. Janet Alvarado, a married couple practicing internal medicine with HSHS Medical Group in Highland, IL, recently traveled to Costa Rica with the group Praying Pelicans Medical Missions for Christ. Some needed care for their children; others required help after an accident or with a chronic disease such as diabetes. In addition to the medicine, food and other necessary items such as eyeglasses, the Alvarado family and the group also brought prayer and love to the people of Costa Rica.
