Respect
We not only extend our respect to our patients and their families, but also to all people we have contact with, and to one another. Everyone is valuable, contributes to our success, has a voice and deserves to be heard.
Care
Prairie Cardiovascular truly cares about their patients and colleagues. The physicians, nurses and secretaries all work very well together and want the same goal for our patients – outstanding patient care. Everything we do in our practice is focused toward that goal.
Competence
We all know and do our specific jobs very well, but we also help one another on a daily basis in any way we can. We strive for professionalism, high quality and efficiency in our processes.
Joy
Making a positive impact in the lives of others...learning and growing both personally and professionally...developing new treatments and procedures that are shaping the future of cardiovascular care – these are sources of our joy at Prairie Cardiovascular.

Programs that reflect our values

  • Employee of the Quarter and Year – The colleagues submit nominations of individuals that they feel reflect the values of Prairie. The selection committee, which is made up of prior years' winners, reviews all nominations and submits the names for final selection.
  • Prairie Praise – Colleagues submit actions that they have witnessed other colleagues perform (i.e., helping patients, going the extra mile on a project, etc.). The act is recognized, posted and the individual is put into a drawing for a $25 gift certificate.
  • Power Lunches – We bring in speakers who represent different areas of the community to speak to our colleagues about the community, area services and colleague well-being.
  • Lunches with the President – Our President meets with small groups of colleagues to share ideas and learn more about one another.
