Blessed with physicians, hospital colleagues and leaders possessing great talents, a collaborative spirit and wholehearted dedication, Sacred Heart Hospital is committed to building a world-class health care institution that holistically and compassionately cares for our patients and families. Our 344-bed hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin provides residents of western Wisconsin with the latest in medical care in a wide range of specialties, including neurosurgery, cardiovascular services, women's health, cancer, trauma and critical care.
Our advanced technologies include two Smart OR surgical suites with an intraoperative MRI and intraoperative CT (one of the few suites of its kind in the nation for brain, spine and trauma patients), two da Vinci surgical robots, IMRT and IGRT, cardiac catheterization, advanced interventional radiology procedures and a state-of-the-art Biplane Angiography Suite. Clearly, technological development is an intrinsic part of the growth of our hospital and patient care, while ongoing education and training keeps our colleagues on the leading edge.
At Sacred Heart, it is our fundamental belief that everything we say and do must flow from the core of who we are. While we are fully committed to providing the best medical care to our patients with the latest technology and advancements, we also know that as a Catholic health care ministry, we are called to provide witness to the Gospel mandate by offering care to everyone – especially the poor and the marginalized – who comes to us, seeking healing of body, mind and spirit.
Every department of Sacred Heart Hospital is committed to keeping the legacy of the Hospital Sisters alive in what is an ever-changing and increasingly complex world of contemporary health care. The integration of our mission into every dimension of our culture and environment is a responsibility shared by all at Sacred Heart.

Sacred Heart Hospital believes it is important to listen to the voices of our colleagues to get their input and constructive feedback on how we can best strengthen our hospital and its commitment to the mission of the Hospital Sisters. Through our Colleague Engagement Survey, we are able to gather input on items such as the work environment, supervision, administration, policies, human resource practices, pay and benefit programs, and our commitment to the mission, as seen through the eyes of our hospital staff. This survey allows us to have open and transparent communication with colleagues, and encourages each department to continue to grow and develop.
