Our fully accredited not-for-profit general acute care health facility has 146 licensed beds and a workforce of almost 900 colleagues. We serve both the Effingham community and the south-central region of Illinois, with a combined population of over 175,000 people. The medical staff at St. Anthony's represents over 70 local physicians in 26 specialties with more than 80 consulting physicians.

We take pride in providing area residents with outstanding services in state-of-the-art facilities, such as St. Anthony's Wound Healing Center. With two Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers, the Center provides residents of this region the most advanced wound care within 65 miles, so they don't have to travel far to get the comfort and healing they deserve. In 2011, St. Anthony's Wound Healing Center was awarded a Center of Distinction Award from Diversified Clinical Services (DCS), the market leader in the treatment of chronic wounds. The Wound Healing Center received this award by achieving outstanding patient outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction of 95%, and a 97% wound healing rate within 30 median days.
