  "I'm most satisfied by watching our babies leave the hospital fit and ready to begin a healthy life. Knowing we have provided excellent care and have helped these families is an amazing feeling. When you sit down and listen and wipe tears from a parent's face, that is a powerful moment. Many of our families spend months in the unit. We can't help but bond in some way. I love what I do. It is my passion to let the moms, dads, siblings and grandparents function as a member of our team. The people that I work with are devoted to performing a great job. Nurses, respiratory technicians, pharmacy, laboratory, social workers, the rehab department and doctors work together well. We all are completely dedicated to providing amazing patient care. "

  "To many outsiders, pharmacists simply dispense medications. In reality, our role is so much more than this. We monitor for safety, efficacy and cost effectiveness regarding medication usage. We share our knowledge and experience with nurses, physicians and patients in order to assist in providing the best health care possible. By serving other health care professionals, I am able to help them to better serve the patients as well. I have the pleasure to work with an extraordinary team. I have immense admiration and respect for my colleagues and I cannot write enough positive remarks about the individuals in the St. John's pharmacy department.   "St. John's was my first employer after graduation. I was fearful and inexperienced, but excited and ready for my next journey. All of the staff mentored me, from doctors to hospital volunteers. Even my patients taught me life lessons. One area in particular that I love about my job is working with the elderly. They have so much to offer me in their unflagging determination to overcome hurdles and limitations, and their drive to never give-up, despite the frailness of their bodies. Beyond physical limitations, what they teach me about life and true grit is far greater than anything I can give them in return. As a physical therapist, I have a unique opportunity to form a special bond with my patients. Some days are exciting and challenging, and it can be easy to get caught up in the quick pace.
