At St. John's, we want the best for our people so they can achieve their full potential and provide the best care for our patients. That's why we encourage and support career growth through a variety of educational and professional development programs, including:
-
Nursing Scholarships
We offer scholarships to the St. John's College of Nursing for nurses who want to work for St. John's upon graduation. The Sister Francis Cooke Nursing Scholarship covers the total cost of tuition, fees and books for a Master's of Science degree in Nursing. The Perry Nursing Scholarship offers RN grant funds of up to $5,000 per year, up to $20,000 maximum, for completion of an accredited BSN or MSN degree program. The College is now offering an RN to BSN program as well. We also provide scholarships for RNs to attend accredited BSN or MSN programs.
-
Professional Nurse Career Plan
Our Professional Nurse Career Plan promotes excellence in nursing practice, provides direct-patient-care RNs, with incentives to expand their professional activities, and provides the hospital with a program to attract, retain, recognize and reward highly competent and motivated RNs. Financial incentives are based on job performance, formal education, nursing experience, continuing education and professional development.
-
Incentives for Physical and Occupational Therapists
Rehabilitation OT and PT staff are eligible to receive pay incentives based on career development activities, such as instructing or supervising in a clinical setting, community and leadership activities, specialty certifications or publishing original materials.
